Attendance of “International Debate Academy” in Ljubljana, Slovenia Designed for college and university students interested in the art of debating, the International Debate Academy offers the unique opportunity to improve one’s communicative skills in a rather large setting. This goal is reached by working with notable international debate experts. The IDAS will be held already for the seventh time from November 20 to 28. 2010 and so far, the evaluation of this program has been convincingly positive. Former participants of the IDAS have profited from the knowledge gained there and competed successfully in their own countries afterwards. As communicative skills are a major job asset in our days, for some of the students IDAS paved the path to their future careers as dynamic and successful leaders in their own countries or on an international level. IDAS does not only help strengthening one’s communicative skills, but it also encourages civic engagement as inherent quality of debate. |
